Our daily tour program

D1Chengdu- Daocheng by air (45 minutes)

Elevation:2700m

Morning alarms sets up at 06:00m! Lelt home at 06:30, 35 minutes metro to Terminal 1!  In the airport met my two fellow travel partners in the airport. We were all excited!

Just about to take a nap on the plane but we already landed, .hahah

Hired a private taxi with my fellow travel mates and heading toward our reserved hotel at shangri-la town! On the way, we paid a small visit a Tibetan monastery and  Qingyang Forest! Beautiful.

Arrive at hotel around 1pm. After checked in. We decide to go for the town centre for a nice lunch and buy some lunches for next following days! Oh do not forget to buy the local apples and pears if you come, they are so delicious and yummy! So sweet! Order local mushroom, so fresh and tasty..(¯﹃¯).

All our group members almost arrived around 4pm! 10 pax in total, and we had 2 tour guides to support us (Felt like a VIP team)  and we had one photographer who also works for vision China to take some great photos for us. Hahaha girls always love photos.....

Dinner offered at 18:30m, we also learnt that we have to change the route due to sudden closure!  But we were satisfied with the altnerative plan which still enable us to kora around the 3 holy mountains! (^o^)/~

Can not wait for the next day adventure!

D2Shangri-la town- Galuo village ( long driving day)

Eleavation :2700m

In order to carry out our ideal trekking route, we had to make a big detour by car to entre fromone of the local Tibetan village -Galuo village! Although the scenary along the route was really great! But this driving was really too long(Some one got car sickness along the way including me:(, if without the sudden closure, we did not have to do this!  But that would be already the best outcome we could hope for!

We reached the village about 6pm! Peaceful and lovely village! We were  warmly received by Tibetan familly and make some toasted corn and potatoes as snacks by ourselves! Yummy, of course, we also had a big dinner there cooked by the family and our guide together. And a cup of nice Tibetan tea took away all our bad moon due to the car :)

After dinner, we went out to see the starry sky over the quite village!Everything was so beautiful and if without trekking the next day, I perhaps would like to stay up whole night! Good night with sweet dreams!

D3 Galuo Village- Baishuihe Base Camp (15km)

Trek Day 1 5-6hrs trekking

Elevation :3250m

We start the trek at 8am! Normally it takes about 5- 6hrs to complete the trek  but our group reached the base camp at 12:30am! We are a strong team hahhahah.

First day was quite easy, we walk up a slope in the forest most of the time along mountain road, then hiked town right into the valley where we take a little rest by a waterfall!  Here we meet a lot of  horse teams!

Then we continued our journey out of the valley til we reach the base camp of Baishuihe river base camp!

Along the way, we crossed waterfall, meadows, rivers, valleys! We had a nice picnic as lunch near the river.

Since we arrived quite early, we got plent of time for fun games and decored our cooking tent with light!  Lots of laughters and camping under the starry night!  Nice trekking day 1

Trek Day 2  ( 6-7hrs trekking)

Elevation:4200m

Early morning with Group pictures and then started the trek at 8am! This day we would need to fight for a really a good spot for camping site  with the efforts together with our horse team! hahhah!  It was a long trekking days with nice weather! We reached base camp around 1pm  and one hour lunch break during a nice meadow along a small river.

We were lucky with weather and only got a little rain in the evening!  After a hard trekking day day,  a big and delicous dinner was always the best reward.  Big thanks to our guide!~

D5 Detour to Gongga Zhaze

Trek day 3(15km, 6-7hrs driving)

Eleavation :4200m

In order to have the most trekking possible and include more scenic point, our guide suggested to camp two nights at the same base camp and we make a detour to Gonggazhaze!  That would be a lovely choice and good training experience for the following next 2 hard trekking days!

Today we would have about 6km uphill and 6 downhills and cross a high pass over 4700m and feel so close to holy mountain Xiaruoduo.

The view of snow mountains just close by you and coloreful forest along the way! Oh, it is hard to find exact words to describe its beauty

Challenging day

This was a great Chanllenging day! As we will cross a very big pass and following by 4km downhill! The Pass is nearly 4900 metres high and about uphill of 6km in total!  I would say you would definetly be preapred for this day!

A big wow moment to the scenaries along the way!

This was indeed a hard trekking day and  I was in the period on this day~~ It made me harder ever! However I managed it and we had a big bonfire party at night under the sky! We sat beside the fire, telling stories and sang our favourite songs!  What a lovely night!  It would feel reluctant  to say good at such a beautiful night

D7 Xinguo cattle farm base camp- Snake lake base camp

Trek day 5 (16km)  6- 8hrs

Elevation :4200m

We had 7 passes to cross for today! Luckily only 2 passes could be seriously called a pass! Still a tough day!  And snake lake base camp is very small, we had get up unsually early at 6:00am and leave before 7am to ensure us have a nice spot to camp! Bon Chance!

It was very easy for the first 5 passes! We conquered the 6th pass at the time of 09:50am!  Then we arrived the famous butterfly rock - landmark or rockline trek

After crossed the 7th pass, we can already have a bird view of snake lake!  Just beautiful, we sat beside the lake for over one hour, listening to the wonderful stories of the lake and appreciated the glimmering lights shine on the turuqoise lake.

Local tibetans coming to say " Tashideleke"!~~

Trek day 6 (9km 4-5hrs driving +1 hr car journey)

How time flies! It was already the last leg of our trek! We needed to go hike up 3km and trek down 9km to the milk lake!

Then just take our leisure steps to enjoy Yading Nature reserve including Five colore lake, Luorong cattle farm,  Chonggu monastery and Pearl lake!   Can not really belive we completed the trek already!

Til the moment, we reached milk lake, we can have signal, seriously speaking, I did not want to have signal hahahah

Around 1pm, everyone gathered around Luorong cattle farm and ready to take the scenic shuttle bus out of the entrance. With no shower for 7 days, i would definetly like to get to hotel to have a nice shower indeed.

We reached hotel in Daocheng around 4pm!~  We got 2 hours to settle ourselves and met for final group dinner at 6:30pm~  Hahaha, year we all agreed to have a nice hotpot with some price difference!

It was the end of tour~ We chatted to late evening by knowing we had morning flight to catch!  I would say it was one of the best trip I've ever had!  Also the first time that we were into mountains without signal for one week!
