On April 5, Chengdu's first panda special line --  "Dang Dang Bus" was officially launched by Chengdu Culture and Tourism Trasnportation Development Co., LTD.

Appearance

Dang Dang Bus' apperance looks quite similar to the Old Shanghai Tramcar, except that there is no actual rail.

Although its outside is retro, the inside is very modern.

With car refrigerator, AC, car coffee machine, luxury car toilet, video surveillance, GPS and other facilities, it's a combination of modern and old.

Driver

Each bus is driven by a carefully selected star driver.

Each bus is also equipped with a special docent, who will explain and introduce Chengdu for the passengers on the bus.

Route

The "Dang Dang Bus" panda line starts from Chunxi Road, passes through Kuanzhai Alley, Wenshu Monastery, Panda Avenue Subway, and ends at the Panda Breeding Center and returns back to the city.

At present, the tentative departure time from Chunxi Road is 8:30, 10:00, 11:30, 13:00, 14:30, 16:00, and the departure time from Panda Breeding Center is 9:30, 11:00, 12:30, 14:00, 15:30, and 17:00.

Theme Song

"The song "Sing Chengdu to You" is the theme song on the bus which include Chengdu's scenic spots, Chengdu lifestyle and local cuisine into the lyrics.

"We welcome travelers worldwide to Chengdu via this song", said Wu Muchan, the chief lyricist.
