Pursuant to the government guidelines of Sichuan Province and Chengdu City COVID-19 Prevention and Control, and based on the current situation, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda is now scheduled to officially reopen to the public on March 25, 2020.Concurrently, to protect the health and safety of our visitors, staff, andanimals, the Panda Base will adopt measures to limit visitor traffic from its reopening to the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda
The relevant matters are as follow:
1. Reopening And Operating Hours
From March 25, the Panda Base will open daily from 8:30 to 17:00 until further notice.
2. Open Areas
(1) Chengdu Panda Base: all visiting areas will open to the public except for the Giant Panda Cinema.
(2) Dujiangyan Panda Valley: full park opening.
Ticket Booking
During the pandemic prevention and control period, ID verification is required for ticket purchase and “one person, one valid ID, one ticket” policy will be strictly implemented. Each visitor with valid ID (second-generation ID card, household register, passport, etc.) can only purchase one ticket per day.
(1) Chengdu Base
①Electronic Ticketing
Online ticket purchasing is recommended. Visitors can book tickets with verified ID through major Online Ticketing Agency platforms, like Ctrip and Meituan or the mini program called Chengdu Panda Base Electronic Ticket on WeChat and Alipay. Visitors must fill in their full name and ID number (Passport) when booking a ticket. If you want to join the panda tour, you can contact us to book tickets online.
②On-site Ticketing
To reduce personal contact effectively, visitors who prefer purchasing tickets on site are advised to scan the QR code for ID verification. The QR code is provided at the entrance of the Panda Base.
Visitors can also go to the ticket window and purchase physical tickets with valid ID.
(2)Dujiangyan Panda Park
Visitors shall go to the Panda Park ticket window and purchase physical tickets with valid ID (Passport).
Notice
Admissions and Related Regulations
Visitor shall show their own valid medical certificates and cooperate with the staff on non-contact temperature check.Those who show abnormal temperatures (exceeding 37.3℃) are not allowed to enter the Base.
(1) Visitors who purchase electronic tickets may enter the Base with their ID cards, which is equivalent to entrance tickets (Mobile phone QR codes will not be sent to visitors who purchased electronic tickets).
(2) Visitors who purchase physical tickets may enter the Base with their valid ID (second-generation ID card, household register, passport, etc.).
(3) Visitors who qualify for free admission policy shall show their valid ID and free admission certificate to enter the base.
Visitor Traffic Limitation Measures
(1) Chengdu Base: The maximum number of daily visitors is limited to 5,000 (4,000 online tickets and 1,000 offline tickets and ticket-free visitors).
(2) Dujiangyan Base: The maximum number of daily visitors is limited to 800 (650 tickets and 150 ticket-free visitors).
Admission Management
Visitors shall pay attention to personal safety and protect their health. Throughout the entire process of ticket purchasing, ticket checking, touring, visitors shall keep a distance of at least 1.5m from others.
If any physical discomfort occurs during the tour, please go to our infirmary for consultation and describe your synptoms immediately. Those with suspected symptoms of COVID-19 will be temporarily quarantined, reported and managed according to relevant regulations. Chengdu Base has established one interior temporary quarantine site next to the infirmary and one exterior quarantine site on the westside of the Panda Base’s entrance; Dujiangyan Base has established one temporary quarantine site at the entrance square.
