Day 1: Oct. 2

On Day 1 (Oct. 2), we drive from Chengdu to Luding and had our lunch there. Really recommend this restaurant for its tasty food and reasonable price.

We reach the Zhonggu Village at night and had dinner at the local Tibetan guide's home. It's quite basic and we are getting ready for the trekking next day!

P.S. If we do this tour during the National Day, please note that there will be traffic jam on the road. 

Day 2: Oct. 3

Today (Oct. 3) we are supposed to camp at Xindianzi. However, due to the hard work for next day, we decide to trek furthur so we will have a relatively easy day on Oct. 4. I will have to say that today's trekking is tiring as well as interesting.

By the way, we really have an unforgettable evening as when we are setting up our tents, it suddenly rains with some hail stones. It's quite normal because the weather in the highland is quite unpredictable. What a day!

Day 3: Oct. 4

After breakfast at a Tibetan tent, we depart again. We will experience the hardest part today (Oct. 4) as we need to trek across the pass that's above 4,000m. 

Today we have the best camping site ever as it's just located by the lakeside and we can see the main peak of Yala Snow Mountain just outside of our tent!

Day 4: Oct. 5

Today's highlight would definitely the sunrise of the Yala Snow Mountain and we will see this holy mountain from every possible angle during today's (Oct. 5) trekking (about 2.5 hours).

The horse team will help us to carry all our luggages from the camp site all the way to the tourist bus station.
