Lhasa

Lhasa in Tibet can be explored all year around. Touring Lhasa in April, you can not only pay a visit to Potala Palace, but also watch the locals prostrating around Jokhang Temple and experience the bustling markets of the Barkhor Street. Don't miss this one when doing the Lhasa City tour!

Nyingchi

One of the best places in Tibet to see spring in full bloom is Nyingchi, with its immense groves of peach trees throwing out their full blossom as the weather warms up. Throughout the latter part of March and on through April, the peach blossoms come into full bloom, and the region turns into a sea of color, as a multitudinous variety of shades of pink cover the trees all over the prefecture. Check the Famous Attractions in Nyinnchi.

Summer

Summer is a great time to visit both cultural and natural sites of Tibet. With pleasant temperature, summer (July and August) becomes the peak tourism season of Tibet. Temperatures rarely reach more than 25 degrees here, and you get to see the snow-capped mountains in the warmth of the summer sun.

Recommended Travel

Gandan Monastery

Gandan Monastery was built in 1409 and has always been an important Buddhist seminary. Ganden-Samye trekking is one of the most popular trekking routes in Tibet. Doing the trekking in July, you would see mountains at their greenest and flourishing wildflowers everywhere. Of course, if you are not a trekking person, a normal Ganden Monastery Group Tour is also a good choice!

Mount Kailash & Lake Manasarovar

Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar are the two remote Tibet travel destinations with strong flavor of mystery and legendary in Nagri Prefecture. Trekking at Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarovar can be conducted from April to October.

Autumn

With crystal clear blue skies and flying golden leaves, Tibet’s autumn will offer you a perfect chance to travel in Tibet.

Recommended Travel

Everest Base Camp

Everest Base Camp has less rainfall and the weather is stable. September and October are the most popular periods for explorers and mountaineers to trek to Everest Base Camp. It’s so amazing to see numerous stars sparkling under the blue night sky on Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

If you want to experience the Everest trek, the classic route Old Tingri-Everest trekking tour would be worth trying. If you are looking for a tour to Everest with economic price, joining in the Everest Base Camp tour would be the best option for you!

Winter

There is warm sunshine and snow-covered mountain in Tibet in winter. Travelling to Tibet in winter to spend a happy Tibetan New Year with local people and viewing authentic snow land of Tibet would be a perfect choice for your winter holiday.
