During this trip, we will escape the crowds around the Great Wall but visit the “graceful and peaceful Mutianyu section” at the spectacular natural scenery that surrounds it. See the real impressive parapets and defensive watch towers. We will have all the time for ourselves and you can explore the Great Wall as you wish.
Our guide will call or leave a message at the hotel 1 day before the trip starts to inform the exact meeting time for today. After picking up from the hotel, we will start the trip and then visit the Mutianyu Great Wall.
As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. Built mainly with granite, the wall is 7 to 8.5 m high and the top is 4 to 5 m wide. Compared with other sections of Great Wall, Mutianyu Great Wall possesses unique characteristics in its construction. You can also choose to take cable car (cost on your own) to explore this wonderful site.
After the interesting trip at Great Wall, we will head down to have Chinese lunch nearby.
The tour is over and you will be transferred to the closest subway station to get off.
