Does The Orient Express Go To China?

Last updated:Oct 14,2024; By: Editor; Hits: 200

The Orient Express, famous for its opulent journeys across Europe, is often associated with luxury travel and timeless elegance. However, despite its historic routes, the train does not extend its services all the way to China. While travelers may dream of riding the original Orient Express to the Far East, alternative luxury train experiences do exist within China itself. These include the China Orient Express and the New Oriental Train, offering travelers a chance to explore China's stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage in a similarly grand style.

Endorsed by the China Ministry of Railway, the China Orient Express ranks among the top ten luxury trains globally and is considered the finest in China. Also referred to as the New Orient Express China, it was originally designed to host state leaders and foreign dignitaries, with cutting-edge security and technology in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz. The Orient Express Silk Road tours offer passengers a truly luxurious journey, featuring a bar carriage, dining carriage, elegant interiors, and VIP boarding privileges, delivering an experience akin to “Air Force One” on land. Covering 7,000 km from Xi'an, this Orient Silk Road Express train showcases the stunning landscapes and rich history along the Silk Road, making it an unforgettable adventure.
