Top 1 Sightseeing Place in Zhangjiajie Scenic Area

Zhangjiajie scenic area is the first national forest park in China and also a new tourist hotspot in zhangjiajie. It has opened six tourist attractions: Huangshi Village, Jinbian Stream, Tianzi Mountain, Yangjiajie, Yaozi Village, Yuanjiajie.

Best time to visit

It is difficult to say when is the best time to visit Zhangjiajie due to its mountainous surroundings, making it attractive in all seasons. But there's a general consensus that April and October are particularly favorable months to visit, as both the scenery and the temperature are ideal.

Huangshi Village

Huangshi Village is more than 1200 meters above sea level, surrounded by cliffs. It is the best and largest viewing platform overlooking the sandstone peak forest landscape and the best place to watch the sunrise.

Jinbian Stream

Located in the scenic area of Zhangjiajie, Jinbian Stream is named for its flows through the Jinbian Rock. The length is 5710 meters. Along the Jinbian Stream is the most beautiful boundary of Zhangjiajie.

Yangjiajie

Yangjiajie is adjacent to Tianzi Mountain in the north and Yuanjiajie in the west, only 10 kilometers far away from Zhangjiajie forest park. With an altitude of more than 1000 meters, it is one of the four core tourist attractions in Zhangjiajie.

Yuanjiajie

Located in the north of Zhangjiajie Forest Park, with an average altitude of 1074 meters and Yuanjiajie covers an area of about 1200 hectares. It is a huge and relatively flat mountain which is mainly composed of quartzite, which is another scenic gathering palace.

Tianzi Mountain

Tianzi Mountain is located at the top of the scenic area. The highest altitude is 1262.5 meters, and the lowest altitude is only 534 meters. The total area is 67 square kilometers, and the tour route around the mountain has 45 kilometers. Tianzi Mountain named Tujia leaders Xiang Dakun claim to be "Xiang Tianzi".

Yaozi Village

Yaozi Village is named for its looks like the beak of Yaozi (Kidney). The scenic spot is surrounded by cliffs, most of which are high above the clouds, making it an ideal place for adventurers. Along the way, you can also enjoy butterfly trees, "one mother gives birth to nine sons" and other strange trees.
